2021.12.07 21:32 Significant-Grade490 What do you think they will tell the kids?

I am thinking they are going tell them that daddy was put in jail for his belief in God and tell them that the anti-christ has made sure their dad can't spread he word of God
Or they going tell them he is going to jail but he is there to help others to learn about God

2021.12.07 21:32 TvManiac5 The most underrated yugioh character

For me, the most underrated character in all the yugioh shows, is professor Thelonius Viper or Cobra in the sub
This man is probably the most tragic yugioh character(one could say that the four leaders of Illiaster are more tragic but their tragic fates get fixed. His isn't)
He is also a great foil to Judai, who so far has lived his life repressing and ignoring his traumas and insecurities since he has become increasingly more broken by the hardships life gave him
He also has one of he coolest and most underrated decks in yugioh
Who do you think is the most underrated character? (And I have to stress for you Bastion fans out there, underrated doesn't mean completely wasted)

2021.12.07 21:32 Masterfulidea What makes mafia/crime city feel so good?

With 975 RP to my name, I'm considering purchasing this skin, but I'm not sure. Multiple people in this sub and other places talk about how crime city graves is his best skin animations/sound wise, but I don't understand. The animations and sounds seem very similar to the base. I've tested it out on PBE without noticing much of a difference, so can someone explain why the skin is praised so highly? Should I buy it?

2021.12.07 21:32 ZeusKiller97 So I have an unusual fanfiction idea

Basically, I want Sensei to be a Spartan (specifically from the IV program), who is now being thrust into having to simultaneously lead a group of student combatants that are nigh-invulnerable while also helping with their individual education. Figured it would be a nice twist on the power dynamic compared to a normal human being in the same situation.
Any feedback on this?

2021.12.07 21:32 Next_Introduction_24 Relationship Karma?

I’m wondering if anyone believes in relationship karma? I left my ex husband after being with him for almost 6 years. I never felt true love with him. It always felt like a really good friendship. I’m aware that it’s healthy to look at your partner as your best friend. But it felt only like that. He was my best friend. We never had kids because he wanted to wait until our thirties and I didn’t. We had different goals in life as well. I met someone I went to high school with after the separation and we began a relationship. We knew of each other but never interacted in school. I have never loved anyone as much as I love my now boyfriend. But there has been problems recently and my heart was broken. We have a baby on the way and both are very excited. I just can’t get over getting my heart shattered by him. I never expected it and was completely blindsided. He hurt me emotionally. I’m wanting to get past everything though because I don’t want to be without him. So my question is, do you believe in karma in relationships? I’m starting to feel like my heartbreak is payback for destroying my ex husbands idea in what love and forever means.

2021.12.07 21:32 emerald_stargazer [Air] Windowserver running at over 100% CPU?

I have a base model 2020 MacBook Air (not the one with the M1 chip, unforunately).
Ever since updating to Monterey, "windowserver" has been taking up all my RAM & CPU. I've googled around and tried ever trick to get it to stop acting up – switching random settings back to default, clearing up my files, emptying my trash bin (which worked for a couple hours, actually).
The most common solution I've read is "stop using chrome" – I don't, nor do I even have it installed.
The only things I had open right now are discord and 3 safari tabs (two reddit, one YouTube). Stopped having this issue after closing discord, but I'm not convinced discord is the offender just yet; even before the OS update, I was able to run more apps, even games, without this issue.
Any other reasons why it could be taking up all my CPU space, and what I can do to make it stop? It doesn't make my laptop slow or anything, just makes my fan loud and it's kind of annoying.

2021.12.07 21:32 HermeticMystic92 2/3s through who onow how many day four!

Had to take an ER trip on the first. Fourth visit I've made in about a year, and it lasted 12 hours than the usual four or five. Nurses and the doc seemed more worried than usual. Pulse was 155, and BR was quite high though I can't remember the numbers. Received a banana bag and some other fluids I'd never gotten before, as well as two doses of ativan over the usual one.
Day two, I felt mostly normal aside from a high heart rate and bouts of anxiety. Went to pick up my librium script only to be told they were out. That script finally came in yesterday, where aside from coming down with a cold and a slightly elevated HR still, I felt pretty much back to normal.
Today I took my fiancée to work and came home to nap since the cold had me feeling so rough. Now I'm just taking my librium (if I were ever to have seizures after a bender, this would've been the one) and unwinding with Animal Crossing. Gaming being one of many hobbies that were put on the backburner for booze. It's nice, and despite being sick I feel at peace. Just waiting to pick up the fiancée from work so we can do some gaming together.
This hospital experience really put things into perspective. I'm not the person I want to be, and don't treat myself or others the way I would like to. Most importantly the love of my life. Lonelines has been my driving force for drink in the past,, but I now have everything I've ever wanted.. I know if I keep up as I have, I'll end up in an early grave,, depriving myself of the happy life I've been chasing and causing irreparable damage to the loved ones I've honestly taken for granted..
I've posted here in the past but never kept to it, and it's always when I drift away that I slip. You guys will be seeing a lot more of me from here on out, even if I'm just commenting. IWNDWYT! 😁

First
3995 AD.
//.Bearing seven-six incident of azimuth.//
//.Calculating.//
//.Incoming point defense shells. Engaging CIWS Suite.//
//.Recalculating. Changing reference frame.//
//.Weapons-vector-lite hypersurface predicted. Transmitting space-time coordinates.//
//.Boarding vector calculated. Lagrangians aligned.//
//.Waking the Landsmarines.//
It was the closest thing to birth we got, so we took to it, loaded it with that connotation, and bore it upon our shoulders with what they called pride. Sometimes they talked to us, looking up from their white suits and safety goggles, and they pretended to care. Some of them genuinely did. Either way, they would never understand how it felt. People didn’t turn off when they went to sleep. We did. We were dead until they needed us. Then we were woken.
My senses were aflame. I felt our ships in the sky catch fire. We were tucked on the inside of boarding craft, like massive bullets, curving gently through space to arrive at the gossamer pipes floating in the void. As we got closer, we could see that they were cylinders, connected to one another, converging towards a massive platform like a nest. Three enormous pillars rose out of that platform. Even from here the magnetic fields were palpable. And it was watching, of course, its sole gunner. From its many eyes it observed, thinking, calculating.
A number ticked down in all our thoughts, which began at a hundred. Space swarmed with hypersonic projectiles and targeting lasers, all aimed to fire at where our boarding ships would be.
Ninety.
The cylinders grew. It was kilometers wide.
Eighty-five.
A lucky shot detonated, swallowing a pack of us.
Seventy-one.
That had been the plan. Our sacrificial vector of boarding craft drew fire like a moths to a lantern, the rest of us tightened our vectors, using the opening in their targeting solutions. The cylinder quickly expanded into our entire perspective.
Seventy.
The boarding ships were sharp at their tips. They were also not built with retro thrusters. There was only one way to go. The hull rattled. The view became black for a moment and the attenuated screech of tearing metal and composite sank through my boarding ship. Then came the solid thud. Light spilled through the rectangular opening that formed on the side of the ship. We spilled out in an instant, weapons raised. Seven hundred of us from over a dozen craft.
Air roared behind us through the holes we had made in their cylinder. Walls closed over them, forming a scab to stop the loss of atmosphere.
“Rordin-121.” A Landsmarine’s voice. Genderless, passionless, functional. “Standing by.”
“Fairmount-242. Standing by.”
“Valorin-365. Standing by.”
It was my turn. “Korwin-401. Standing by.”
About seventy percent of us had made it. Our own Ifrit had drawn up this boarding solution and estimated sixty-eight percent. We were lucky.
“Formation Delta-two-five.” Edwin-32’s voice. Identical to ours. But his comms code had a two digit suffix. Authority.
We formed up and moved through the oxygen farming woodland. Above us, white two-dee clouds rolled across a uniformly blue sky. I felt the floor turn; we all did. Centripetal pseudo-gravity. Unnoticeable to baseline humans.
The housing areas were ahead. Submillimeter scans revealed a firing line of troops and armored vehicles waiting by the border separating the forest and the homes. We sent an overwatch drone above the obscuring branches and leaves.
“Enhanced physiologies,” the drone reported. “Powered armor. Rail fragmentary self-propelled guns, piloted.”
“Highlighting priority targets,” Edwin-32 said. “Advance.”
Areas on the enemy lit up like heat spots. Carefully spun code gave us digital serotonin if we took aim. We fired first, our Lanternbearers spitting .872 caliber penetrators covered in whitebody material. CIWS systems scoured the air, slicing through the trees and creating ephemeral bursts of heat wherever stray matter ended up in their path, like lines of dancing glass dust.
They fired back. Our own laser CIWS lit up their approaching penetrators, heating them unevenly and causing them to topple. The toppling reduced the projectiles’ sectional density, causing its momentum to be spread on more area. Like striking a nail while it was slanted on a surface. The lasers were hardly visible until they met the whitebody jacket. Then they lit up like little stars, racing towards us at Mach 10.
Once they got close enough, Lenz-Strauss modules inside the plates of our skin pushed against them, slowing them, buying us time to dodge.
I leapt on triple-jointed legs. A round struck my shoulder. I could see the fine traceries the whitebody jacket made through the air as it disintegrated instantly, revealing the dense, pyrophoric core underneath. I tilted my shoulder to allow the round to chew only at my armor, firing as I repositioned.
A massive shell raced towards us. We didn’t bother lazing it. It detonated well before reaching us, showering the area with shards of penetrator. Wood became dust. Dirt seemed to turn to gas. Armor grew holes like paper in rain.
Only one of us fell permanently. The rest of us continued advancing, firing round after round. Until one side stood tall while the other laid low.
I watched Edwin-32 approach a Martian survivor crawling away from us. She was half of herself, leaving a viscous trail as she moved. If she was afraid, she did not show it. Edwin-32 brushed a sample of the Martian’s trail with a finger and put it in a slot in his head.
New information scrolled through our data feeds. The Martian soldier was nearly eight feet tall. Artificial organs, reinforced bone, and enough redundancy to keep her alive even in such a state. But she had been born once, her once natural body a canvas for unnatural change.
The Landsmarine had not begun as flesh or metal. There was no border between man and machine for us, inseparable and wholly designed to fight de novo.
“Proceed.”
We left her there.
The living areas were arrayed ahead. Blocks of building material that rose into the ceiling and past it into the other floors. A hollow click echoed throughout this urban cavern. The sky dimmed. Blue darkened into nothing, handing the reign over to the fleeting infrared that painted the buildings and roads. Through the windows, meals half-eaten hovered slightly above room temperature. Doors were ajar. The rooms were full of belongings left in comfortable chaos.
We flooded the area with pings, sharing our own piece of the three-dimensional map with each other.
Empty.
Edwin-32 suddenly issued an urgent order, to disengage caution and sprint. We did not know how to hesitate, but none of us saw what the Prime Landsmarine saw. Our weapons were holstered and we moved lengthwise through the cylinder, vigilantly scanning the surroundings as we moved. I noted warm spots in some of the complexes, glowing dimly in the cooled environment. They were scattered about in the smaller rooms and alcoves of the buildings, sometimes among sheets of hung cloth or beside structures of ceramic and metal. The heat signatures’ movements were slow and few. Edwin-32 dismissed the matter. The end of the cylinder approached. Objective markers painted the doors leading towards the gun platform.
The floor jostled and tilted a fraction of a degree. A single thrust counter-parallel to our advance slid past our soles. The pseudo-gravity lessened over so slightly. We were drifting. The enemy had jettisoned this cylinder.
