2022.01.28 22:39 Jebac47 Where else can my skills take me?
Currently working B2C as a car salesman and killing it at a young age. Been in the business for almost 2 years now. Market is great but it won’t last forever. Been trying to explore where else I can use my skills and make even more money and not be stuck doing the same thing for a long time. Promotions are an option but I don’t think I’d like to be in this industry forever. Where else can I use my skills? What jobs could I look for? Im in a huge urban city in the Midwest and also have an associates in business. I see people on here making a killing and would just like to know how I can put myself in the same position while it’s still early in my career and before I get that infamous car salesman belly lol

2022.01.28 22:39 Wickermind Do Super DPS enhancers stack?
I'm planning on running a GoS raid as my hunter first, and I was wondering if it's possible to increase potential DPS by combining Tether with Radiance, since tether increases how much damage an enemy receives and Well of Radiance increases weapon damage.

2022.01.28 22:39 TheJergsaw Zombie Spawn Trap Completely Stops When Someone Else Joins
I created a zombie killbox trap and did the usual going around and lighting up all the caves and all the stuff you are supposed to do. For some reason whenever somebody else joined my game, the spawner completely stops spawning zombies 100%. When they leave, the spawner starts up again. Is there something causing this that is known and is fixable? Thanks!

2022.01.28 22:39 phantomdrops My current role is a double edge sword, I have the potential to switch over to a new company making double my salary but I have concerns.
This is a throwaway account.
I'm stuck in a dilemma and need your advice - I'm barely making $57k + 10% (salary) performance bonus at a Fortunate 5 health company in the Medicaid segment as a Project Manager. I am pathetically underpaid and I know it. I graduated from college with a BA in Business and got hired right away at starting salary of $50k. It's been a little over 3 years since I've been at this company. My boss and team are the most supportive people I've ever met. My boss is super mindful and doesn't micromanage - he's the reason why we have 100% retention rate in our team (if you're sick, or just need time off he doesn't even force you to use your PTO time, he doesn't care when you go log in or log out of work as long as your job is done, super super nice human being).
However, it's been a double edge sword being here. After just sailing in the wind like a kite here for 3 years I felt like I've learned almost next to nothing about Project Managing and it's my fault too. The first year here my boss just told me to follow my mentor which just used me as a glorified meeting scheduler, e-mail replier, and meeting notes-taker (I legit did this for a year+). In the second year, he had me do random stuff around the team like build the Team's website, create the PMO Methodology playbook, find a new project management software, building Tableau/Excel reports, etc. My boss's management style is for you to manage up, he won't give me more projects if I don't ask for it but also doesn't care if I'm just floating by with one project or supporting a program. There are months where I am working less than 10-20 hours a week (I work from home full time).
Here's the kicker, I recently found out my girlfriend who got hired at Intel as an engineer intern is starting out at $60k and will get bumped up to $80k once she has her master's degree and transitions over to full time. This is kind of like a slap in the face and a wake-up call for me to take things seriously as other companies actually value their employees (my other friends in the same years of experience is also starting to break 6 figures).
Seeing those other companies take care of their employees much better, my gf pushed me to jump ship and I have been mass applying to other companies since the job market is "fire hot". I've started the beginning of this year and have applied maybe a tad over 30 job postings. I've gotten called back for 4-5 interviews (all phone screening) this past 1-2 weeks. These jobs all starts at $100k and above with a title bump (Program Manager, IT Project Manager, Senior Project Manager, etc.). My resume is top-notch, my interviewing skills and communication skills are pretty good (I was in sales for 6 years before graduating college).
HOWEVER, I'm lacking confidence that I can step up to the next level. I already kind of feel like an imposter at my job since I've been coasting here for three years. Because my manager doesn't manage up, there's no one here to train me on how to "correctly" manage these projects. I just go "free-style"/sink or swim and often times I have no clue what I'm doing but my manager says "no one knows what we're doing, just fake it until you make it". At this point, I figured it's a combination of me, my boss's management style, and the Medicaid/healthcare industry (I absolutely do not have passion for this field). The longer I stay here, the more future employers would question why I have not gotten a promotion but I'm also not "learning" anything new (manager's goal is to get me promoted to Senior PM by end of year).
So my question is, if you were in my shoes. What would you do? Would you potentially jump ship and fake it until you make it while making $100k+ and risking your new house build (I don't want to get fired just before closing the home and losing it)? Or would you just stick it out at my current company and just try my best to manage up and gain more experience until my home is done building (ETA Q3/Q4 of 2022). I've never been fired at any job and have always been a very self-driven and motivated employee (hustler). I lean towards more fast-paced jobs like sales in the past as I'm great at it but I hate the culture of sales where your entire paycheck is dependent on your performance every day. The sad part is my side hustle right now (flipping items) is making more than my main job, I'm making anywhere between 4-7k a month take home consistently just reselling stuff because my current job gives me so much free time and is so boring. Also, I feel 0% motivated to wake up and log in just to work in this industry/my role, I'm not sure if it's the role or the industry. I feel stagnated.

2022.01.28 22:39 Doveen On the topic of wall of force: you guys realize it's a concentration spell, right?
In the comment section of a recent post about it, people are really upset how martials have no way to counter wall of force.
Well, they don't, if they are alone. But a dnd party is usually 4-5 people, and enemies are usually waaay more numerous than that.
Yeet a javelin or shoot an arrow at the caster concentrating on the wall of force holding your other martial at bay.
If it's bisecting a room, keeping your martial from getting to the enemy, i'd remind you it has thickness. With a good athletics check, you can grap its top, pull yourself up and with 20 feet of movement, you countered a lvl 5 spell. Now, if it fills the whole height of the room you are in... Re-enact that scene from the phantom menace with the shields. The enemy cant hurt you either. It gives you the same benefits as it does for the enemy in that situation.
Wall of force can be countered in a shit ton of ways. Be creative.
